6 December 2017, The Wellcome Collection, London 14.00 – 18.00, followed by a wine reception and dinner
In place of our LRG Annual Lecture, this year we have invited not just one, but four inspiring speakers. They will lead this symposium/workshop exploring the issue of landscape justice and how research can and should help /and the role of research in helping to achieve it. Each is a leader in their field:
- Professor Ken Olwig, perhaps the foremost academic in the area of ‘landscape justice’
- Professor Emily Brady, a philosopher who focuses and advises on landscape, environment and aesthetic values
- Dr Aviva Rahmani, an eco-art activist whose public and ecological art projects have involved collaborative interdisciplinary community teams with scientists, planners and environmentalists.
- Peter Peacock, former Member of the Scottish Parliament and currently the Policy Director of Community Land Scotland
The symposium will take place at the Wellcome Collection in the afternoon of 6 December and will be followed by a wine reception and conference dinner. More details and how to register will be announced in our next eBulletin.
