The Landscape Research Group is seeking a new Chair and a new Honorary Treasurer due to the fact that both Chris Dalglish and Steven Shuttleworth will be stepping down from these roles later this year. The Board wishes to recruit successors from the wider LRG membership.
We are looking for two dynamic and experienced people to take up these voluntary leadership roles and to help steer the charity as it opens a new chapter in its history. The Chair and Treasurer play a vital role in the strategic development, good governance and effective operation of the Landscape Research Group. LRG celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017 and continues to go from strength to strength. The charity is in a relatively strong financial position, we have expanded our activities and we are ambitious to achieve more in relation to our aims of advancing landscape research and its dissemination and of building an active community of interest.
Summary descriptions of the two roles are available as pdf below. The roles are not remunerated, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed. We are looking for individuals with the skills, qualities and experience to take on these important positions. Please do consider proposing yourself!
Expressions of interest should be sent to email@example.com by Friday 3rd August 2018. Please send a covering letter/email outlining your interest in and suitability for the role, together with a CV. All candidates will be considered by the Board. Successful candidates will be co-opted onto the Board for the remainder of the 2018/19 year, and then will be required – as all Board members are – to stand for election at the AGM in May 2019.
