Landscape Research Group was founded in 1967 to foster co-operation and interdisciplinary exchange between people with an interest in landscape. Since then, as landscape issues and the need for research have become more pressing, the role of LRG has become more important. The Group has extended both the areas of concern and the readership of its journal and newsletter.. LRG is a non-profit organisation and is a registered Charity and Limited Company.

Aims

The Group's main purpose is to encourage education, interest and research in the field of landscape. It does this by:-

• fostering the development and exchange of ideas about landscape in its widest sense.
• encouraging the collaboration internationally, between disciplines, and between researchers and practitioners.
• facilitating the exchange of information and ideas between those who are separated by distance or organisation.
• initiating research and seeking funds for research work.
• organising educational and promotional activities.
