The LRG Directors have chosen the word symposia to represent the range of academic, professional, social and institutional programmes that we support. This important work ranges from seminars and policy meetings to walking and working sessions with activists and land managers, as well as a full range of national and international conferences. The work is coordinated by the following members of our board of directors in relationship to partners and colleagues all over the world. Click on each of their names for a bit of detail on the specifics of their role and their activities in service to the organization and our intra-disciplinary passion – which is, of course, the ever expanding concept of landscape.
We have recently confirmed our continued focus upon two important themes: The European Landscape Convention and Landscape and Climate Change. To facilitate the pursuit of those goals, we have agreed a new system of symposia development. We are seeking a few great ideas for conferences and seminars that could be supported by LRG. Symposia support ranges from £200 to £2000 (or more where match funding is involved). Please contact Gareth Roberts our event coordinator for initial discussion and appropriate paperwork. The Board will review proposals in May and November each year.
